The Futures Project: transforming disruptions into innovations that shape the future of schools FILLING
Feedback form is now closed.
Limited Capacity filling up

Students now in kindergarten will graduate from high school after 2030. A consensus of voices is concluding that the educational program currently mapped out for these 5-year-olds will be useless for the world they enter. Between now and then waves of disruption are shaping a very different future from what most people, educators included, are imagining. Universities are told they will be relics in another decade or two. Experts do predict that the teaching profession will survive the coming upheavals, but it may look unrecognizable. For certain, the future will test us and our organizations.
Disruptions are those trends or currents that threaten our basic approaches to learning and schools. The list of future disruptions could include – but not be limited to – topics like artificial intelligence, globalization, bio-technology, severe economic inequality, unaccountable adolescent anxiety, and others.
This session intends to be a venue where educators can absorb, reflect, talk, and anticipate the next 5-15 years. It will be a flexible combination of presentation and round table discussion, depending on numbers.
